So I have two SD MkIIs. I love them, but I've had to replace the buttons on them a few times, because the mechanism always comes unscrewed and it falls off. I do try to keep the cap over it, but I often forget (thanks to the booze), and end up losing them. I heard something about using craft glue a while back, but I don't know if theres a better solution or not. Has anyone else even had this problem?

Simply use a proper screwdriver down the battery tube, grip the button & tighten up, I have never had a button come loose after tightening them this way.

Never lost mine thank god, what i do is wrap a wide rubber band around the button so i get more grip when holding it and tighten the screw with a screwdriver, can also add a little Loctite Thread Lock to the treads ,but it might make it hard to remove if you do that.

So I fixed it. My fiancée is an avid crocheter, so I dipped the part the button screws on to in craft glue, then screwed the button on, then unscrewed it and let it dry. I never have any issues now.

My button flew off at my local pub, found it on the floor, spent ages looking for the spring with help of bar staff and customers, 'till someone said "Are you sure it fell on the floor?"

And there it was, still on the bar lol Wink
