im pretty new with the SD and so far have tried the tank (didnt really like it loads of vape but not much throat hit or flavour) and have tried the dual coils atties. thinking of getting the smokeys when the yoyo sales comes back which ive heard is soon. i didnt like the 901 atties as they run dry far too quick! and the dual coils are eating far tooo much juice.
so what do you use?

I use the duel coils on mine, very happy with them. Sometimes i direct drip with 901s and sometimes i use ultimate clearos. Overall i mainly use the regular sized duel coils, they're cheap, have nice flavour and last ages. I stopped buying tank atties when i started using these.

Hi Ravermix,
To start with, a bit of advice with the tornado T... they come primed with loads of PG. First thing to do is blow it out (hard) from the battery end, then fit your tank and take a few hits without hitting the button ('priming'). You'll find that flavour/TH comes through like a charm straight away.
Apart from that, my favourite piece of kit on the SD is a mega tank attie. Not only do I find it performs better for longer than a standard TT, but it looks really cool too - just like a stubby screwdriver! Same applies to blowing it out and priming before use, but this is my all-time favourite setup (and believe me, I've tried just about all of them from TW)!

I've used the 901, 501 (they were meh) I then got the smokey which was great and now i'm using the mega tank which is FANTABULOUS! So I switch between it and the smokey my experience with vaping has improved 100 fold just since I've been using those two.

Tank mostly, tried the CE3 but I use a lanyard and liquid drips out the mouthpiece. Have a mega Tank I haven't used yet.

Hi Raverminx,
Have you tried blowing through as suggested? I got a TT when I ordered my MKII and forgot how limited the cartridge was in terms of filling. I find that the megaT's have better air flow, and do provide a better hit. It's not just that they hold more juice IMHO.
Having just ordered a couple of stainless megaT's, they look even cooler, and even more like a stubby screwdriver! Not sure which side of the pond you're on but the megaT's aren't too expensive, and they really do last.
Word of warning with the smokeys, there have been numerous reported shorting issues (myself included) and you COULD ruin your SD. Just a friendly word of warning...

Direct dripping using 901s, both SR and LR. The beauty of the 901 atty is that it seems to last an age - can't fault it.....

You'll be pleased to know that you don't need any extra accessories... well, except for mega tank cartridges, and I strongly recommend some replacement caps too... but these won't dent your pocket too much at all. The tank carts are pretty much bulletproof so you'll only ever really need to replace caps. Just a simple wash in warm soapy water and the carts are pretty much good as new. As for swapping caps, I used to need to do this pretty much every other refill. Recently I've found I get 4-5 refills before changing caps, and even then I'm doing so more as a precautionary measure. You've made a wise decision in my book! Just one last thing to say before you receive them is that with a fully charged battery, it's importanty to take a couple of primer puffs (drawing without activating the battery) from time to time whilst you use them, otherwise you may find you get a slightly burnt tasting vape every once in a while. In exactly the same way, you need to do the same with smokeys, clearo's etc as the higher voltage they put out on a full charge vapourises the eliquid quicker than it does once it's down to 3.7 volts. Believe me, it's a good thing as it means loads of vapour, throat hit etc! But it took a little while for me to find my pattern with it. All I'm saying is IF every once in a while you get a slightly burnt-flavoured vape, don't dispair - it's easily sorted and a really small issue for the amount of pleasure I'm sure you'll agree they give. Please let me know how you get on, I'll be stoked to hear about it!

Raverminx, believe me I've tried (with exception of the booster) every accessory TW has to offer. If you'd have asked me several weeks ago I'd have said smokeys, but they've burned out two tornado batteries and in my book that's a false economy. If the pennies are tight, that's an even better reason to go with the mega T's... they're bulletproof. If you don't enjoy them I'll buy you a replacement you can't get a better endorsement than that, and that's a genuine offer

Hey raverminx, you said you tried the D/Cs, but not sure which ones, or what you thought of them (maybe I missed it ). If you haven't tried them, you might give the Mega Tornado D/Cs a try. I don't have a SD, but since you have the Tank conversion for yours, I assume these will fit on it. They give loads of throat hit and vapor, and they're very economical. I use the Mega Tanks too, and I love them, but they seem to start wearing out pretty fast. The Smokys are wonderful and cheap, but I don't recommend them unless you have a Booster to use them on. Just not worth the risk w/o a Booster or some other mod that has a shorted atty protection circuit. I use the Smokys more than any other device now, but I still manage to get plenty of juice through my Mega Tanks and Mega Tornado D/Cs..... what can I say, I'm a chain vaper.

I don't have a Booster, can't justify the cost. Still just use the Tank on my SD and never put the Smokeymizers on it, just in case there is a problem.

I have indeed tried the mega d/c and really liked them but they weren't lasting long. I've just filled a fresh one up and wow it's lovely! Just shame they only seem to last a week or so for me. My mega tank is starting to lose flavour now and that's only a week old. Any advice to get it back to life? Boil it for a while, coke bath??

For me it varies raverminx. I usually get 1-3 weeks from them. Some get more. I think it depends on the juice you use it them. The flavor I like to vape in the Mega Tornado D/Cs tends to clog them up fairly quickly, but I like the flavor I get from it in them, and for what they cost, I feel I've got my moneys worth at a week.
