Cleaning Plastic Bottles

Has anyone figured out a way to remove the odor from the previous juice from the plastic bottles.  I have several bottles that still smell like the previous juice that was in them and I do not want to contaminate any new stuff by using the bottle.  I've tried soakingin vinegar and that didn't work.  Any suggestions?  Thanks!

After every cleaning technique, I would do a smell test, and a TASTE test (but a bit of water in bottle, sip, swirl, spit)
Things I have tried:
Soaking them in hot vinegar water
Soaking them in hot water
Soaking them in straight vinegar
Putting baking soda in them
Adding baking soda and vinegar
Put a few in the dishwasher (I do not recommend--they melted)
Cleaning with hot soapy water (I do not recommend--couldn't get the soap taste out of them)

Most of my bottles are from Titan Menthol. They all still smelled of menthol despite all the cleaning techniques I've used. I gave in and used them anyway, and the menthol flavor did NOT leach into the new mix I created. (or at least I didn't notice it any, and I think I would have noticed the menthol in with my fruity mixes.)

Hopefully someone will come along with a better suggestion.

Only suggestion I could add - Jug of hot not boiling water and add a steradent tablet (denture cleaning tablets) leave for a while then rinse in cold water and air/radiator dry.

I hadn't thought about trying that...I will try that on the next round of bottles.

I can tell you that from my own experience... Odour from the previous eliquid, as long as you've given it a very good rinse with hot water and dry well, no flavour leaches into the next flavouring, even the more delicate mixes. Never known it. I've been reusing bottles for a longgggg time lol...

If it bothers you, I think the dental tablet is probably the best method (Os's suggestion), or some bicarb of soda and water... rinsed out very well of course

soak in oxyclean FREE (free of fragrances and dyes) or a soak in water + baking soda

these have helped me remove other odors from food safe plastics

+1 to kitty and chops

I used a Titan menthol bottle tip and put it on my other bottle with a home made mix in it. Every time I open the bottle it smells of menthol after a good washing but never changed the taste.

+1 All my mixes go into Titan menthol bottles, can never get rid
of the smell, but it doesn't affect the taste of the new juice

I wouldn't add boiling water to the bottles... could leach plastic.

Just rinse really well.

That works for me. You wont notice any other flavors in your juice.

Don't worry about that as LDPE and HDPE bottles won't leach that's why they are used for e-juice.

Maybe squirt some "realemon" brand lemon juice in them and swill it around a little & then dump it and rinse.
