what tips or tricks have you tried?  Why would you want to remove the wick?  I get burning wick taste also and I am going to try this. >>>>  http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.com/forum/tips-tricks/pictorial-guide-to-help-with-the-wicking-of-clearomisers-%28lots-of-photo%27s-!!!!%29/

yea see this is starting to urk the crap outta me....my first 3 clearos were great aside from the cracking issue...but now the last 2 packs I bought are burning up after one or two days and I am getting quite frustrated...I do mod the rubber grommet and I even tilt the juice up to the top all the time and its getting toasted after one or two refills....not happy with them today  Sad

I just placed an order for the new CE3s in blue and black....I have a feeling I might upgrade to them. Since the wick is at the bottom there shouldn't be a burning issue...I will let you know  Wink

The wicks on clearomizers are fiberglass and don't burn.  You can prove this by putting a cigarette lighter under the wick.  It won't burn.  I just did a dry burn on mine and cleaned the coil right off.without burning the wick.  I'm vaping it right now and the burnt taste is gone.
