Well this could go in the Mod section or here......

Have a Screwdriver and a Tornado.  The total Screwdriver kit was sold out at the time so got the kit with the charger, unit and battery.  So I didn't get the 510 adapter (though I realize that the mod is available, just funds are unavailable <g>).

Somewhere here there was a inquiry about how loose the 510 carts are with the atomizers.  I took out my Dremel (rotary tool) and experimented with a few bits.  Had a notion that it was the cart that should be worked on (since the atomizer is metal and would be working with the inside diameter),  Found that if I used a 'cut off wheel' and made small diagonal cuts in the two sides that DON'T have the air holes that it raised enough plastic to enable a better friction fit.  This is a case of 'less is more'.  You only used the slowest speed and BARELY cut the plastic (I used a clothespin to hold the cart).  You can still get it off quite easily with hand pressure but doesn't just stick to your lips and leave you with a cart in your mouth and the batt/atty in your hand.

The next item was putting a 901 whistle tip on a 501 atty.  This is a really easy fix but once again, if you overdo it the cart will be a trash object.  No power tools this time.  Just a piece of 100 grit sandpaper.  Just enough to take the shine off the plastic once again avoiding the air vents.  NOTE: this will make the cart UNUSABLE on a 901 atty (will fall out way to easily)

I was using the 901 carts as tips for my 510 cartomizers.  It's much better than the soft flat plug the cartomizers come with and I liked the whistle tip.  Though, I've come across a shortie delrin drip tip I like better so that's what I use now.  The drip tips take a really long time to loosen up, and if they do, you can just replace the o-ring.  Anyway, the 901 cartridges were a lot tighter the 510 carts, but they still would loosen up after a while.  If you're using a cartridge with a 510 atomzier, the 901 carts might be a better way to go.  I liked them anyway.
