Hello all

Quite chuffed with my Titan Tank so far; except for something that's started happening recently.  I started finding that the vapour was really harsh and stung the back of my throat and my chest; so much so that it was impossible to use.  I swapped to a different cartridge and it seems to be OK now (still a little harsh now and then, but it always has been), but I notice that the cartridge I just removed appears to be a little gunked up.  The liquid seems to have congealed in the tank and won't move, so I assumed that my cartridges are getting gunked up when I'm re-filling them all the time...  Can I just drop the cartridges in some hot water to flush the gunk out?  (And let them dry, obviously).

I'm going to try my spare atomiser too, just to make sure that there's no problem with the atomiser (hopefully not after around 4 weeks).  Plus, are there any particular liquids I should avoid with the Titan Tank, or should I stick to the TW stuff?

blc,

You are on the right track with cleaning out your cartridges.

Although, and this is me, I would go down to your nearest pharmacist or grocery and pick up some demineralized water to clean your kit with.  It's easier on the atomizer/coils as they won't gather minerals from the water which can negatively affect the performance of the coil.

Just zap the water in a microwave safe bowl until it is hot and give those bad boys a rinse.

Oh and just in case it needs to be said .. Please do not put your battery in the water to rinse it off.. bad things could ensue.

Cheers for the advice, canniscam.  The last e-cig I had used the little sponges to hold the liquid (liquid dripping out of the mouthpiece was why I stopped using it), and I just used pre-filled cartridges - haven't had to deal with cleaning the gunk out of tanks before! Smiley

Heh, I'd never consider submerging a battery in water!  The battery contacts are a little grimy here and there - probably because they're carried in a jacket pocket with no case (oops) - but I can easily clean that off the same as any other electrical connector: cotton buds, isopropyl alcohol and care Cheesy

F---ing strong! Smiley

I've got the "Super-High" 36mg/ml TW Titan Fluid.  I think it's a bit too damn strong though, to be honest.  I'll be ordering a lower strength liquid next time, as well as some different flavours.
