2.3 or 1.8 ohm attys?

Replacement attys for the ego-c come in 2.3 or 1.8 ohm
What's the difference and why favour one over the other - is it just as simple as lifespan?

A 1.8ohm coil is low resistance, which means for the same voltage applied to that of a 2.4ohm atomizer it will heat up more and faster and vaporise your liquid at a higher temperature. They are designed to simulate vaping as if you were using a higher voltage battery. As always there is a penalty to pay, and in this case it will be shorter battery life, and shorter atomizer life.

Because they operate at a higher temperature they can also change the taste of your eliquid and the vape might even taste harsher. You may have noticed that the way you draw on an ecig is different to a tobacco cigarette, in that you need to take a long steady light draw to produce a satisfying vape, with a low resistance atomizer you can take shorter faster draws, and for many this simulates smoking a tobacco cigarette more closely

so the higher the resistance the better for vvv yes or have i got it wrong looking at getting a new tank or atty for my vvv and dont know what to go for?

You shouldn't use 1.5-2ohm atties on a VV. I'd stay above 2.4-2.5. I've noticed 3ohm allows you to crank a VV to 6v without popping it right away. 2.5ohm works up to 5v and 2ohm and lower shouldn't go over 3.7. These are just estimates but good place to start. I use a booster and looking at the twist so I stick with 2.5 ohm and it's great up to 4.5v all day

You can use them on a twist but you wouldn't be able to use the higher voltage vaping, you'd just need to set the voltage lower (e.g. 3.8 - 4.2 range).

I wanted higher Ohm DCT punched carto's for using the DCT on my torpedo; not from TW... yet... but you can get them elsewhere  . More expensive than they would be to buy a four pack at TW, of course!

I got my twist yesterday... lovely... looks neat with a little 2.7 Ohm silver 510 boge cartomiser on it. Lovely feel in the hand after using the massive Torpedo. I don't think I could bear having a whopping great DCT stuck on the end of it. I've relented from DCTs for this little (but long) beauty

Of course the dct is an exception. It's (2) 3 ohm coils even though as a whole it's 1.5ohm so boosting it over 3.7 is okay.
