Hi Everyone.

I was running low on tanks (Tornado Tank setup, not ego), so I ordered 25 of the black tanks, like always.  Problem is, they are different from the last batch.  Old style had an opaque black tip, with a milky white tank.  The new ones are a translucent black all the way through.  The issue is the new ones completely change the taste, and not in a good way.  The flavor reminds me of the smell of a garden hose, with the RY4 flavor underneath of it.  I have tried 4 tanks, and all taste the same.  Is there anything I can do to get rid of this taste?  Will the old style be available again?  Is the dual-coil tank a viable solution if the answer to the previous questions is no?  Please help...can't stand the taste of these things now.

Thanks!

The original tanks you mention have not been supplied for a long time, they were the original tanks from the time the first Tornado-T became available and customers suggested we changed to tanks made  with translucent material so one could see the level of eliquid left without removing the tank.

I'm an avid Tornado tank user and never noticed a taste with any of the tanks, but that's not to say others have not, but there is no forum history on the matter. I sometimes use the soft silicone rubbers caps and these do have to be washed otherwise there is a rubbery taste.

The only thing I can suggest trying is soaking your tanks in some water with 2 or 3 teaspoons of bicarbonate of soda for an hour or so, and then thoroughly  rinsing afterwards and see if that helps. (I use bicarbonate of soda to remove the taint of  flavours left in thermos flasks).

Yeah, I usually buy in bulk, so I only order once or twice a year, less for tanks.  I will try soaking as suggested to see if that helps.  Thanks for the suggestion!
