I have been using my booster for about 3 weeks now and have a feeling it may be 'frying' my attys. 3 x 510 attys have just stopped working after a few days use, some lasted one day, others 4 or 5 days...they just go dead. It also happened to a tank atty...working fine then nothing. The booster does get really red hot, almost too hot to touch when I am vaping heavily. All connections are clean and dry, good batteries etc.

Anyone else having similar problems?

The coil or element is what heats up and using a booster increases the heat and it wears out quicker
this is where t.w falls behind the times a little, at the moment they don't do a high resistance attie
that means the coil or element is made out of hire resistant or thicker wire if you will
if you imagine running a kettle on a 3 amp fuse it will break the fuse...burn it out
this is what is happening to your atties try a lower voltage (turn the booster down)
im afraid thats all i can say on the matter

True terrier Smiley, but ean's point still stands.  No high resistance attys/cartos available on TW for hiV vaping.

John, turn it down mate.  I know it's tempting to really crank the power, but you should be able to find a lower setting that won't kill your attys, but still give you a better hit than stock voltage.  Anyway, IMO the flavor suffers too much at higher voltages.  I just use my booster to safely vape the CE3s, to get a little more mileage from older attys, and to dial in the best flavor for whatever flavor/atty combo I'm using.  Most of my VV vaping is done between 3.6 and 4.4 volts, with some rare exceptions.  Unless your using a high-res atty, most flavors are going to wash out by 4.5v, if not sooner.  Just my opinion.  YMMV.  I look forward to your law suits (please mail all subpoenas, nasty comments, hate-mail, Undecided anything w/o money included in it really, to Darth or caz... thank you all for your continued support.). Cheesy

No worries ean.  You had the wire gage backward, but you had the right idea (and a good point).  Cheers! Smiley
