I read somewhere it's best not to use the booster with Dual Coil XL Carts. Wonder why this is and why is it not refered to in the booster instructions?

Hiya John, the Dual Coils.....and any other LR type atty, are 'best run at standard voltages' as higher voltages may well make them go pop.

It may be advisable to run the dual coils at standard voltage but I always run mine between 4.0 and 4.2 volts.

That seems to be perfect for me.  I have not yet had one pop on me.

Now I have had one LR atty pop at higher voltage.

I count anything up to 4.2 as standard as that is about what a fully charged SD battery runs at. I run most of my gear on my VV device at about 4v unless it's a tired atty that needs cranking up a bit  Grin

Yes.  I concur with 8Ball.  Most vertical horizons run perpendicular with less interference.

I used a booster with my DCT's. Works ok but it burns them out quicker. I find just going with the standard Tornado battery is fine.
