Hey guys, I'm having an issue and wonder if anyone else who has the booster has had the same problem. I've been in touch with TW and they have asked me to post on the forum to find out.

When I received the product I used it on 2 new mega dual coils and it worked fine. I then tried it on an old, more used one to see if it would revive it and it didn't work. When I tried it again on the new ones it stopped working.  So now it doesn't work at all with the mega dual coils. I have tested them without the booster and they are working fine.  The booster works with everything else - the tank LR atty, the standard 510 dual coil cartos and the old 510 attys.

Has anyone else had this problem?  Or is anyone using the booster successfully with mega dual coils?

Thanks

Jon

I haven't got a booster but it sounds like something that can happen to batteries. An attomiser with a slightly longer thread/contact point (sorry i'm not very technical) can push in the contact point on the battery. When you go to use other attomisers that have a slightly shorter 'contact' bit they won't work any more.

^^ If anybody understands what i just said can they please explain it better lol Grin

Just trying out my first 2 packs of these.  With my first one, I have the same problem with the booster.  Get nothing with this mega dual coil - atty won't activate.  Just swapped out for the smokey and the booster is working as usual.  I'll try one from my other pack later and pray it works.

Asides that, my first impression is that these are pretty sweet.  Hits pretty hard without the booster, and I normally use the booster exclusively.

The other issue is that it leaks a ton of liquid when filling, but I just put a 30ML bottle juice cap on the battery end, then suck the juice up with a syringe and put it back in the bottle, so even though it's messy I'm not wasting much liquid this way.  Doesn't appear to leak in use, which is better than the CE3's which we all know are a bit of a maintenance nightmare.

I'm a smokey lover but if I get one of these to work with the booster this may knock smokey's out of #1 (though I'm secretly wishing for a mega smokey without the bung and leaking).  Wink

Shouldn't have that problem when filling. Are you dripping down the side, holding at an angle, quarter turns and all that jazz. Sometimes get a drop through the bottom right at the end of filling but that's it.

Only just started VVing on mine (not had a problem with a sample size of one). Great at about 4.2 though with menthol!

I understood you perfectly cath (which should worry you a bit Cheesy).

I'm not having any problems with the Tornado Mega D/Cs on my Booster 9ball (I don't know if you're using the Tornado Mega D/Cs, or the regular Mega D/Cs).  The only thing I can think to suggest is to maybe try this:

When you attach the D/C to the Booster, pay close attention to see if it's seating hard up against the Booster, or if the center post makes contact before it's screwed all the way down flush with the Booster (there should be a bit of a gap between the skirt on the D/C and the top of the Booster.  If it's screwing all the way down to the top of the Booster (i.e. it sits flush on the Booster w/o any gap) then the problem could be as cath suggests, and the center conductor of the D/C isn't making contact with the Booster.  There is a slot on the center post of the D/C and you might be able to back that out a bit with a screwdriver so that it makes contact   WARNING: I've never tried this with a D/C (but have done with other devices) so I don't know if it will work, and I don't know if it will harm the D/C.  Use this suggestion at your own risk! (but it's what I would try). Smiley

I'm using the Tornado MDC.  Yep was tilting, only a few drops at a time, letting it soak in, then rotating. I'll put about 20 drops in then let it sit for a bit, then do that process 2 more times.

Just opened one from the other pack, and this one didn't leak and works with the booster, so I'm good.  Just like most products, a certain % are going to be duds and in my case, it happened to be the first one i tried.

I must say this is my new #1, hands down.  Hits just as hard as the smokey with an easy draw, but the hit has more body (maybe a little less bite I suppose, but it's smooth).  The flavor is much better than the smokeys, which I feel make a lot of flavors taste the same.  I'm currently using RL state express.

I'll still use smokeys just cause I have so many, and I think they're cool, but these MDC's are easy to fill, not messy, hold a ton of fluid, nice mouth piece, and tastes great.  Not sure what to do with all my triple coils (didn't like), and tank attys and carts.  Guess they are good for emergencies and what not, but these just don't compare to cartomizers.

The only other thing I'm interesting in trying at this point, as I am very satisfied with my current options, is the Ultimate Clearo.  I have a regular clearo and not in love with it.  Can anyone compare the Tornado MDCs to the Ult Clearo?

The ultimate clearos are brilliant for taste, just too small Cry When they sell out the old ones they should be bringing in the ultimate XL's Smiley

PML cath. Grin

nyc, I can't help you with the comparison as I've never tried the Ultimates, but once you reach 30 posts (I think that's the number Undecided) you'll have access to the trade board, and maybe you can swap any of your kit that you don't want for something that you do. Smiley
