DCT on the Torpedo

Title says it all, do these work on anyone's Torpedo, do I need the mains adapter to make it work? I have a mains coming Monday, but I have had the DCT sitting here for a few days and finally decided what to fill it up with and give it a whirl.
I primed and filled it put in on a Tornado Battery and fired it up it was wonderful.    
So I thought well lets put it on the Torpedo and up the voltage a little you know like 3.7- 4 range, screwed it on pushed the button, no pop, no hiss, and no vapor!!!    Whats up with that? 
Guess it's back to my pass-thru.

Sounds like the post isn't making contact. These will work on the torpedo but the torpedo will scale the voltage down since they are low resolution so you won't get high voltage out of these on the torpedo. Sometimes a post from dcts don't make good contact you can stick a paper clip in the threaded end and wiggle the post so it comes down a bit more. This is called "post pulling".

Wow Thanks I just gave it a try and now it works like a champ!!!       That's why I love this forum, we noobs can learn all the tips and tricks.

My voltage was still displaying 4.0.
Do you know if it resets when it scales down or does it just do it and keep your old setting stored?

I would try a 510 mains charging adapter in between the atty and the Torpedo. It might just give you the +post contact you need.

I use a 510 to Ego adapter (which accomplishes the same thing) that I picked up from ::cough:: another vendor (TW doesn't have them...yet)

I have been using my DCT with the Torpedo since I got them both earlier this week. No problems for me as of late. The DCT vapes really well at around 4.2 volts on the Torpedo.

can this post pulling be dont on a tornado battery. maybe the atties i got are not bad just the post on the battery needs to be pulled out more. Or is the battery not working

You can pull the center post up a bit on the Tornado batts with a pair of needle nose pliers.

1. Just now tried the DCT with the Torpedo...works ok, but I'm not sure if the Torpedo is ramping the voltage back down to 3.7 volts because of the DCT's lower resistance.  The meter doesn't show a voltage reduction, but the vape doesn't seem to change much from 3.8 V to 4.5, nor is it much different than the DCT on a 510 pass-thru.  (haven't tried higher volts...no guts!  )  I have a feeling that this, like the Tornado booster, works much better with higher resistance atomizers.
2. I've tried the Tank (and mega-tank) with a mains adapter, and it works fine, but is a rather awkward mash-up.
3. Great fit to the 510 tank!  Only problem here is the limited liquid capacity. (gone through 3 refills in 3 days on a single bat charge...so far!)

I think a custom length 510-Tank adapter is in order. (much like the Screwdriver adapter)  The massive battery in this thing just cries out for a large reservoir cart of some kind. 
All things considered, though...I like it!

My DCT,s work fine on the Torpedo.
I think the 510 to eGo adaptor would be something for TW to stock, this allows the T Tanks fit perfectly.

+1 although I run a 6ml and a 3.5 together so technically 2 fills a day 

Just need more/bigger batteries now, roll on the TECC yoyo, maybe I can pick up a sensibly priced torpedo

You can't pull the post on a battery...only on an atomizer or cartomizer.

As to the issue of the torpedo lowering the voltage, sadly I saw this problem coming. Totally wicked added tanks and this device and these two things are having problems for people elsewhere. The only atomizer rating that will give you the voltage you actually set it for is a 4 ohm atomizer. With a dual tank or dual coil carto you may as well be using a 3.7 volt device.
It's a shame because otherwise the torpedo is a perfect fit and look for the products on this site. It's a shame the voltage is limited.
