Mr. WIcked  is certainly most fortunate as he has his servant to do his filling for him.  I need to look into that for myself.

Freakin expensive. Mr Wicked must be freakin loaded!!

They're around $50 in the US I hear, is the shipping to Europe really equal to the difference in the exchange rate between the dollar and the pound?? Quite simply, no. I think Mr Wicked is being a bit wicked with us here!

Surely Joytech will bring out a 4.7v battery for the Tornado before long. . . . . how is £50 spent on this going to feel then?

The manufacturer sells them for $59.  See if you can find them cheaper.

My apologies if that's the case, I'm sure it was a thread here on the TW forum where I read the $50 figure.

You certainly wont find them cheaper seeing as TW has exclusive sales rights to the UK at least. Heh heh, I didn't say Mr W was bad at the biz Undecided

As I'm sure most people will be aware, these will mostly be used at full power for max vape, and I'd like one. . . . . . but at £50 I'll wait for a straight fwd 4.7v, non variable, converter to come out or a 4.7v battery, one or both of which will surely be coming out anytime soon, in this fast evolving technology.

I liked the vid by the way, the "B" movie'ish of it all. Wink

Like JohnEAngel said yes there 59.99 here in U.S.  Also with shipping from Canada well you've tacked on some extra cash there also. Now, Iv'e already got 1 because I did not know TW was gonna sell em. I have got to say this is a great move! This thing is great + works perfect. It's also built very well + can tell right out of the box that the  Lips sealed"TW" Lips sealed Booster is a nice piece of craftmanship. Also some1 said well why not wait for Joyetech to come out w/ a 4.7 volt Bat? Well,,I'll make another paragraph on that down a lil farther. I have to say is why not, think of any/ all the TW bats you already have, Bam now there all  VV devices + what's even better is this thing really works. Me + a buddy did a volt test ,,hes a electrician,,,So had him do it, It keep's a steady voltage at whatever you set it on. Another thing compared to all the other VV devices for the price this is a good deal seeing that your already have the batteries/Tornado's.

VV devices,,,good 1nse anyway are not cheap at all. So this is in way, if you really want to try out "VV" it works out great for the price. Also I will say this and some should know,,,,,,you won't always have it on full power 4.7. It depends alot on what flavor your vaping and the atomiser. Everything has it's own sweet spot. I vape 3 dif flavor's + each 1 has it's own spot on the dial.
"As I'm sure most people will be aware, these will mostly be used at full power for max vape, and I'd like one. . . . . . but at £50 I'll wait for a straight fwd 4.7v, non variable, converter to come out or a 4.7v battery, one or both of which will surely be coming out anytime soon, in this fast evolving technology."
"Sorry dunno how to do the quote thing yet." Cry

The answer to that while staying in forum rules" Hopefully Wink" is that there already is. The problem w/ them is that there junk. My electrican buddy at the same time I was getting my Booster got them instead + after seeing them " I will admit they do look cool" but that's all it has going for it, and reading everything I can about them is that they break. ALOT,,,+ I do mean alot. Also it doesn't keep voltage, He tested them at what they were supposed to be running at + it was always lower by a good amount. So lol he has a booster now, the other bats are just collecting dust in his vape chest. So will they get em right sometime? I'm sure they will, but atm they just do not work. I can see why TW doesn't sell them as they don't live up to standards at all. Though if they do get em working right I would bet good money that TW will sell them, but I doubt it will be soon. So?,,,,buy the Booster which is a proven to work or wait months/years for something else to come out?

So from some1 that has the Booster all I can tell you is that it's a great product + am glad to see that TW is selling it. Just wish I would have known Mr. Devil Man  Wink Grin and I would have have bought this off you! Wink

You beat me to it Kane (and welcome to the forum BTW! Smiley ).  I'll just add that I've got two VV devices, and I rarely vape above 4-4.2v (and they'll go up to 6v).  It's not about the voltage, it's about finding the best flavor, throat hit, and vapor for the atty/carto and juice combo you're vaping.  A straight 4.7v device is no better at that than any other single voltage device.  And at some point I'll get one of these.  Why, when I already own two <censured>s?  Because for 1/2 the price of most any other VV device out there, I'll instantly have 13 VV devices (my two <censured>s plus the 11 Tornado batteries I already own). Grin  And while I don't own one of these (yet Cheesy) I highly recommend them:  I've read good reviews.  The one issue they had with them should be corrected by now.  VV vaping just plain rocks. Cool

The manufacturer sells them for $59.  See if you can find them cheaper.

My apologies if that's the case, I'm sure it was a thread here on the TW forum where I read the $50 figure.

Yes, you did.  It was just another forum member that said something about "Gee, it Mr W. sells them for around $50 I'll sure buy one", not a statement of intended price-point by anyone at TWEL. (NOTE: I've paraphrased.  My memory is nowhere near good enough to remember my own name, let alone something I read yesterday)

Well, not by people who know what their doing it won't.  They'll probably mostly use them at 3.7-4.2v, because that's where the sweet-spot is for the majority of the atty/juice combos.  And any single voltage device (be it 3.7v, 6v, or even *gasp* 4.7v) isn't going to give you the ability to dial in that sweet-spot.

I was just looking at these the other day, and a smart move to get the rights for Europe  Wink

While it`s obvious these are fully compatible with the Ego style batteries, they are also capable of being used with other batteries (IMR high drain specifically, but not "big batt" mods)

I can`t quite figure out what this means exactly, and to which types of other batteries it specifically includes or excludes from being compatible.

Edit: I think I can answer my own question:

Quote
...you will need a multimeter to determine if it is compatible with the Ego Booster.
If the freshly charged fat batt meters at 3.2v, then it has PWM.
If it meters at 3.7v or higher, then it does not have the eGo’s PWM and we recommend against using it with the Ego Booster.

So which type of "high drain battery" are they referring to ?

I think you have hit the nail on the head there Kane.

At first i thought WOW £50 its a bit steep. But i only paid twice that for my VV device named after 8ball. I wouldnt change it/sell it for the world.

However i do find its a little bulky to take out to the pub and so on. This booster will be spot on for that. Nice slim factor of the tornado and id pay £50 to have that.

Tyvm 8ball + White. "Would have replied sooner but internet is just crazy tonight going out every 10 min  Cry. Anyhow that is a good point White that I didn't think of, it does have "portability" going for it. That + w/ how much good VV's cost i wouldn't want to take them out of the house either. The 1 thing I don't know and maybe I should have said in my earlier post is that I have been using this also on my SD. Been doing it for 2 weeks and it works just like on my tornado's. What I don't know is if will cause any damage and the manufacturer states that there just for authentic ego/tornado's. Anyhow, like I said in a dif post if any probs come up ill make a post about the SD. + 8ball's got it right at least for me 4.2ish,,little up/little down depending is around where I like my fluid.

Vaper Boy, It's in his video for the product. Had to watch the video again to make sure he did say 50 pounds. About 3/4 or so in the vid he says it. Sound about right for the price cause it was 59.99 for me in U.S.  and tack on expensive shipping from Canada and there ya go.

ok Prices are uk

£49.99

USA

$64.99

These are truly exceptional, as many have posted all you need is a Tornado battery (Joye only, Tornado copies ie Riva etc wont work) , remember re price these are not mass produced but individually made.

And quality.

I believe a great price for a great product.. Considering listing for pre order now, just 100 per site in the first shipment and only 100 a month expected, as production has not cranked up yet, as it does hopefully the price will lower a little.

I have been using mine on my SD for about 2 weeks now and not had a problem. "Yet" I've tried to find what info I can on using the booster w/ the SD and there just isn't much. It works though + yes w/ the adapter it fits on it. So whether it's doing any damage to my SD batt's I just dunno. From what I read from the Manufacturer is that they only work w/ authentic eGo's/Tornado's. So for now I just dunno. If I start Having problems w/ my SD I'll make a post about it.
