Hi all, please take a read through the following warnings from our firends at Joyetech....

1 Tornado batteries can only work with the JOYE atomizers. If you use other atomizers, it will give less vapor or even damage the atomizers. The Tornado batteries have a constant short circuit protection feature which will make the JOYE products achieve the perfect standard and it will ensure the products safety. If the customer chooses to use Tornado batteries with other atomizers, JOYETECH can not take responsibility of the damaged parts or the poor effects. It’s the same with the JOYE 510 batteries.

2 Tornado batteries just can only be charged with JOYE chargers, including USB charger, USB wall charger, USB car charger and CE charger (it should be used with the Tornado charger adaptor). Any JOYE charger is subject to stringent testing and improving the aging test. We also set up a variety of polymer lithium battery charging protection circuits, including the short-circuit protection, over charge protection, over current protection and battery abnormality protection. These will ensure the safety and the stability of the chargers. If the users charge the Tornado batteries with other chargers, it is possible to damage the Tornado batteries because of the other chargers and power adapters poor quality and performance. JOYETECH take no responsibility of that. This is the same on JOYE 510 batteries.

3 Tornado batteries sign the minimum standards of every performance parameter, including battery power; the puffs of the cigarettes and the amount of times of the batteries can be charged. Such as battery capacity symbol is 650mAH, but the actual capacity is more than 650mAH. It means the minimum capacity of JOYE Tornado battery is 650mAH. The average capacity of the batteries is between 675mAH to 680mAH in a bulk sample test.

this will be connected with the popular practice of folks  just buying the battery part and nothing else.. reasonable enough if joy have to stand the come backs.

Thanks for the info but I've used a brand new 901 atomizer with the Tornado battery with no problems.
The atomizer lasted about 3 weeks which is about right.

A lot of "only compatible with out stuff" messages are either because the producer of the item is unsure if anything else would work quite as well/not break it, or because their related products meant to be used with it are being greatly neglected and they are attempting to curb that a bit.

However, I still think I'd keep batteries charged on chargers made by the same company. . . just because in my experience they aren't lying/exaggerating when they say doing otherwise is a bad idea.

3 weeks?  What ARE you doing to your atomizers to get such a short life?  I still have atomizers working that are months old!  Of course, i usually lose them BEFORE they go completely to pot, so i still buy new ones.  Besides, can't go wrong with extras!

I'm not quite sure - I suppose it depends on how often you vape.

When I first starting vaping with the 901 I was getting a good 6 weeks out of the atomizers.
These days I'm happy if they last 2 weeks. With my current multipack 510 atomizers, 2 have gone in just
7 days each.

My 510 atomizers lasted a couple of weeks.  I never burned out my 901 atomizer but didn't use it much anyway.  For some reason, my 801 atomizers last a very long time.  I had a bad run when I burned out two 801 atomizers within one week but a multi pack of 801 atomizers last me a very long time.  I'm not sure why but I can't complain.

TRANSLATION to plain English-
1. If you go ahead and use non JOYETECH atomizers, we can't be held responsible for damage
2. If you go ahead and use a non JOYETECH charger on the batteries, we can't be held responsible for the damage
3. Our Tornado batteries are rated at 650mAH, but will usually be higher than this.  But, to ensure we don't get complaints about selling them at 675 or 680 with an occasional 650-665 getting out the door.

Standard CYA on their part.  Though i REALLY REALLY wish other industries *cough cough hard drives cough cough* would follow the third one.  Nothing worse than gettins something and when you check, it's way less than what they claim it to be.

And on long life claim I make, I use an atty 4 weeks and then clean it when the performance starts to drop off, and I am a chain/heavy user.  by doing this, I rarely get a dead soldier, and just buy new ones for that squeaky fresh performance.  I've got some that are as old as August/september, and while not 100% of their original performance, still truck along great

I've been rotating three for. . . *goes to check his purchase history* 21st of march apparantly. so 6 weeks on 3 atty's. That's at least 2 weeks each so far n.n. (I tend towards 1 day each since they're different flavours)

As far as I'm aware I'm not using Tornado specific atomizers - I use TW's multi-pack ones - and have had no problems at all.  I'm not sure I understand the warning to be honest. I have tried one of the TW LR atomizers but it's far too strong for me so I shall stick to the regular ones for as long as I can get them that is.

The TW Multipack atomisers are fine - they are designed for the Tornado and TItan and are manufactured by JOYE

Thank you Phil.  I hadn't realized the TW 510 atomizers were JOYE products.  So confusing!

I've never kept one for three weeks - after a fortnight max they're in the bin! At less than a packet of cigarettes each, I'm happy to treat them as disposable rather than messing around trying to clean them - more often than not they're still working after a fortnight but the vapour production has dropped off and there's nothing like a fresh atty to get the vapour flowing Smiley

Welcome to the forum T,
I do agree with Phil, you don't get the origional throat hit and vapour flow after a while. But I hate to throw things out, I pop weaker atty's to one side, and save weaker atty's for when I have a cold (like this week Sad) They work for me with menthols and stronger flavours. I can't vape on a strong atty with a cold.
(Saying this though, me and Mike my partner used to get a good few months out of an atty when we were on the Titan.)
