I quite agree with you Kenneth. The VVS is certainly not something I would be carrying
around, I'll stick with my Tornado Tank for that. However, as a desktop machine that lets
me sit and vape all day as I am working, this is just perfect!

I'd actually been thinking about getting a similar device from another supplier, but with
the VVS being added to TW's range, I will most likely go for this instead.

One of the reasons I love the SDs is because they look so different from ordinary e-cigs.  I love it when people ask me - what's that?  I've always been a bit of a rebel (not that you can tell this, on the forum of course  Lips sealed Undecided) so I will vape the VeeVee with pride - can't wait to see peoples faces lol  I'll just reply well it's my Sonic Screwdriver of course.  Doctor Who would be proud  Grin

Jason mentioned in the interview that he gave at the Wigan shop that it was his intention to move into "big battery mods" but I did not think that it would happen so soon afterwards.
I currently use an 18650 mod and dont think that the unit is overly large, it certainly gets noticed whilst out and about and plenty of questions arrise from interested parties.

And a positive point to these units would also be the relative cost of replacement batteries, I can buy 2x 2200mah protected batteries for less than the cost of a replacement Tornado battery.

Saw something similar on a Youtube review a couple of days ago.

I think I'll have to get a few clearos to see what they are like, and if I like em, you got a sale.  Grin

Good call on posting that list, digisatman  Smiley  It's nice to see TW getting into the cartomizer tank market, I've been using them from several manufacturers for a while and they are so convenient for your all-day vape, but the warning about certain juices cracking tubes is a good one.  Acrylic and polycarbonate, in particular, are susceptible to cracking (I've got one tank that is spiderwebbed pretty bad after running about 30ml of Lime Zinger through it, done before I knew much about this)

EDIT:  and for the record, I also misinterpreted the "VV" in the product name when I read the thread title . . .

To be honest I will not be getting one. I have to big battery mods and one is a variable voltage and the other has a glass and steel tank that works with a 901 atty. The liquid feeds in through the whole that the 901 has on the side. And you can control the air flow on it. It works great but it has a lot of pieces to it. The tank alone has 6 pieces to it.  I have had no luck with the type of tank that is going to be on the one TW will have I have now seen a place that sells hand blown glass tanks but would not get that because it would like like a bud pipe. They are really nice when they work but they can get really messy and need to be cleaned alto. But I will buy battery's here if they are at a good price. And if he sells the tank separate I might have another go at a different design. Iam glad that TW is finaly looking at selling MODs and it should do good for beginners looking to jump to the big battery as this is a fair price for what you get. But for me Iam not liking it.

I think it would save confusion with Variable Voltage if it were called the JB instead.

The cartomiser and tank part are already available in the UK from other suppliers.

Lets hope all this exclusivity doesn't create a market with little or no competition where there is no pressure to price competitively.

Puffer>>I like it, Juice Bucket sounds good. VV is a little confusing, Neuro i think you have a point, i am re thinking anyway because of this and other reasons.

STECH are a very young company, young men running it, i will wait before i sign anything to see how there fare. We buy Dual coil Carts from them now, the juice Bucket is a decent product and its only fair there is an open market for them.

More important is the Torpedo..

Digisatman raised a very valid point re the reactive polycarbonate. I cannot get a satisfactory answer from Smoktech regarding the composition of the product.

That being the case i will not risk customers health or my companies reputation on a flawed product.

I will let you know whats happening once i get clarity.

But Digisatman, thank you.

Better than my idea of a bucketomiser.

I can imagine myself screwing a torpedo into a juice bucket much easier than attaching a torpedo to a vaping vessel.

Perhaps Juice Bouquet for the more refined customers..

I would not really call it a flaw in the product, Jason.  The vast majority of these types of tanks on the market are using the same materials for tubes and it works just fine as long as there is some attention paid to what juices are used in them.  As for what is currently on the market for this type of product, the only ones safe from ALL juices are glass and metal.  I have several tanks that are either polyc or acrylic that I have had no troubles with whatsoever, I just avoid cinnamon, sour and citrus juices in them  Smiley

I dont think it was meant there was a flaw in the product but jason just wants to stock superior products since you can imagine some new person to vaping ending up with cracked vessels just because they used a citrus liquid. I guess if there are any alternatives that could be used jason will seek them out so right from the off any one new can pick up a kit and use anything on it. Its the dream after all.

do a search on google polycarbonate leaching & polycarbonate carcinogenic.

Another well know maker is using a tube that's  FDA approved.

Everything I say here is purely anecdotal (my own experience).  I've seen that list somewhere before digi and thanks for sharing here.  I haven't vaped all of those particular juices so I have no firsthand experience, but I have been using carto tanks and ce2 tanks off and on for months now that use polycarbonate with no issue regarding liquids effects on the tubes, that I know of.  As Killjoy stated I stay away from tart/sour and cinnamon flavors.  Might be leaching, might not, but no weird tastes or any strange reactions.  I'd like to see the study of that somewhere, because I do use polycarbonate, if you have a link you can post or PM me I'd appreciate it for my own peace of mind. I would particularly be interested in knowing if leeching does occur, is it immediate or something that happens over an extended amount of time?  I tend to stay away from malic acid anyways, a well known chemist in the vaping industry once told me malic acid wasn't very volatile and if that's true, any ingredient that doesn't vape well I imagine would hang around on the coil and gunk it up for quite some time.

When I first started using them I did, but now I do not let juice sit in the tanks overnight, I DIY so it's not a great cost to me to empty and rinse them out before going to bed.  I know in the beginning there were a few tanks that used either clear acrylic that was much more clear and attractive, but proved to be not so durable.  I have a smoketech dct (the one with the black plastic endcaps not the stainless, that one looks great btw) and haven't had any issues with the tank so far, except that they punch the holes on the side of their cartos a little small from the factory, something I've heard they may be changing in the future.  I do like how they added the flange to the connector so the tank has a place to rest against and not slide down any further.

Overall, I think the move to add these products is a positive one, I would like to be able to buy products like these from TW (especially when those yoyos get ta spinnin'  Cheesy).  If polycarbonate is a problem I'm confident Jason will address it.  Is it possible for smoketech to use glass or pyrex tubes as an option?  I wouldn't mind paying a couple of bucks extra as an upgrade and would be a classy touch to go along with the high quality stainless endcaps.

For what it's worth, I do not like the name "Juice Bucket" in conjures up a mental picture of some guy in overalls mixing up liquid in his backyard in a steel washbucket with a canoe oar.

Oh I have also had 2  tube go bad on me, I was using Cholocate Banana.

As I said earlier there is already an FDA approved tube out, been used by somebody else.

Whatever the name the V V has to go, when I first saw this thread (Totally Wickeds Torpedo V.V.s) I thought YEY at last a Variable Voltage mod from TW only to get my hopes dashed. Cry
Don’t get me wrong The Torpedo looks good & I will end up with one but a TW big battery V V mod is still on the wish list.

Thanks for that, it does raise some good questions. What material is this vendor using?  I'm sure it's not a secret.  Here's some other questions.   When they state FDA approved, is that material approved for the levels of heat we are talking about when it comes to vaping, or approved for cold beverage storage?  Are there BPA's released when that material gets that hot?  If not, wouldn't smoketech be able to use the same material?  If there is a better alternative I'd like to know.

I would love glass parts but two things come to mind that would worry me initially. first cost and obviously potential profit for tw to sew it as a viable item to stock and secondly brakages. what's the likelihood of these being broken by our lovely delivery service. So this may result in many people reporting damaged goods on delivery at a cost to tw to replace. if all that holds up how would a glass vessel hold up under daily use regarding likelihood of breaking in your pocket if knocked. ie how much force would be acceptability safe for the purpose of intended daily use. iv never used them so maybe someone who has might like to jump in and give personal experience on this as i said glass would look lovely and give a premium look and feel.  Cool
