Interesting. It was up on the Totally Wicked blog earlier today, but has disappeared from there
as well.

I wonder if Jason is having second thoughts about it?

I believe after reading feedback and asking smoktech some more questions, he's had second thoughts.  Wink

Gutted I didn't get to see the video. Hopefully it'll be re-upped somewhere.  Sounds like a very interesting product, especially as I'm currently considering a bigger battery vaping device at the moment.

Sorry if I've missed it somewhere, but was there ever an indication about when the product might be released in the UK?

Ah, just seen Cath's post. Ah well, I'll keeping looking at other options for now then... (would much rather be purchasing from TW though tbh.)

Thanks Drone for letting me know that the video has now been made private.

Probably a good thing, as there's already far too many interesting shinies to consider for me, particularly with Christmas (and its Yoyo!) coming up!

Jason probably took it down because he would rather wait and have a video that shows something closer to the finished product than something that is only the original idea.  But far be it from me to try and read the wicked one's thoughts, he may have had a totally different reason  Wink  In my opinion, I think TW carrying a product of this type and advertising it well will bring a wider range of customers to their site and I do hope the development side of things goes without a hitch Smiley

Mm until we get full clarification from Jason ill keep an open mind on why any decisions were made and i think we all should.

i feared this may be the case however if the video was pulled. Digisatman you have any more info on this?

There was some discussion somewhere else. Basically Jason asked the manufacturers questions about the durability of the tank and couldn't get a straight answer and after a few days with the product, he found that the battery and charger weren't up to scratch. I think he's made the right choice, there are other companies out there that would have gone ahead anyway.  Smiley

I'd rather Jason didn't offer a product than sell an inferior one, or even one he has doubts about.  That's one of the things I like about TW.  I trust what I buy here.  I know some may point to the CE3s, but honestly, the problem with those was, I believe, something that wasn't going to come out early on.  It wasn't until they got into the hands of us consumers and started getting real-world use that the problem became apparent.  And look at how TW responded when it was certain there was a design or manufacturing problem with them.  It's obvious Jason has the best interest of both his customers and his business (because in the end, it's all one and the same) as his priority.  If he's had a change of heart regarding this product, I'm sure it's for the best.  Just my .02. I think your right 8ball and thanks cath. definitely a good idea to only sell items that are good enough or you just piss off customers and loose your rep.

i don't know if they are or will soon work with a company to design and build a new type of cig to jasons spec. ground up idea that would be awesome. maybe just a bit too costly to try develop mind you.

Anyway i follow a few other forums and other device have come up consistently so i emailed TW, im sure Jason already knows about these products anyway but worth giving him ideas at a time he's probably p'd the vv just didn't cut it.

Well here is my take on this torpedo thing.

I would think, that based on sales of the booster, that TW would see that there is a market for a variable voltage devices.  Yes the booster is a nice little device.  But the two draw backs are that it makes your e-cig to darn long.  And the ability to dial in an exact voltage I find problematic.

So I just have to sit here and scratch my head and ask myself why would you put out this very nice device with this nice big battery and not have it be a variable voltage device?

Maybe I'm missing something here but that would seem to be the logical progression.  Back before, when we could talk about other products, there was a lot of talk about wanting TW to come out with a VV device.  So when I saw the first post that had the letters vv in it I was jumping for joy.  Only to be let down again when I discovered what the vv stood for.

Just my thoughts

Well after reading (and participating in... my bad!) another thread about the problem with talking about other vendors on forums, I'm really pleased to read this thread and it validates the point that I made there, and that others (8ball, Puff) also made.

TW can hold their head high - the quality of products, the no-nonsense approach to inferior products and the desire to provide customers with the best in products and service is the reason why I'm VERY happy to have never felt the need to buy elsewhere. I've browsed other sites (after all I'm only human) but my loyalties remain here!

I'm the proud owner of the booster and love the VV experience. I agree with others - an all-in-one battery and variable voltage device would be just what the doctor ordered - especially if it didn't look like a wind instrument Wink

As for a device that could hold up to 30mls of liquid!? Whoa!!! Not sure whether I'm blown away or quite frightened by the prospect! You certainly wouldn't want a coil to start to deteriorate when you were only half way through   Undecided

I don't know anything about an alternative but i know Jason is still looking for great quality items for US so probably won't be long i guess i would much rather wait for a quality tested item from a company that will warrent its items well.
Good call red one.
