This year our lads in the warehouse decided to don their football gear and put a team together for the Orphange Cup. http://orphanagecup.co.uk/about.htm

After winning their way to the semi finals, the Totally Wicked team put in a solid performance once again against the reigning champions Red Rose Dry Lining last night.
After going 3-0 down within the first half hour, the Totally Wicked team picked up their game and Ryan Magee (warehouse) scored a quality goal in the back of the net just before half-time.

The second half of the match was a different story, with possession mainly belonging to team wicked. Considering this is a new team in the competition, they were able to out-shine Red Rose - current holders of the Orphanage Cup, maintaining possession and laying down some great shots at the opposition goal.

After 90 minutes, the scores were level at 3-3 taking the game into a nail biting period of extra time!

Thanks to Shaun (warehouse supervisor) who pulled off a superb finish, the final score was 4-3 to Totally Wicked, which means we are now through to the FINAL, being held at Ewood Park on the 25th May (1830 kick-off).

If you want to show your support, why not make a trip down and come and see the boys in action.

Entrance fee is £3 per adult and £1.50 for concessions. All proceeds go to charity!!

....... Our boys made a really great effort against the mighty S7 Soccer Academy but i'm afraid it just wasn't meant to be this year....

Final score.....8-2  Sad Sad  Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry

However, they did a fantastic job knocking the reigning champions off their spot and getting to the finals, so we are all VERY proud of them!!  Wink Wink Grin Grin Grin

Well done team TW!!

It was a great game, but they were up against what turned out to be a formidable team. Spirits were running high after our early first goal, but the opposition began to pull it back then equalised and then pulled ahead with a second goal. We evened the score yet again, before the opposition jammed in a third goal. With a half time score of 3-2 the game was still anyone's. The second half was under way but tiredness kicked in especially against a well trained club, yet there was no lack of passion to win. It ended up being a tough game for the new boys on the block and ended in a crushing defeat after a meteoric rise to the final.

For many of the team it was a special occasion to be playing on the Blackburn Rovers hallowed turf, it will be a day for them to remember for many years to come. Well done lads Wink
