This might sound like a strange question but how do you know when a battery is getting close to the end of its lifespan? Do these lithium batteries work at 100% up until they just crap out one day or are there warning signs some days in advance? Using a few month old Tornado eGo-C 1000mAh Manual USB Passthrough and I always keep it hooked up to the USB cable to top it off every time I use it.

I dont have a passthough so can't comment on that, but I have found
with my tornado batteries that they go less time between charges, when
they are coming to the end of their life.
I also found the same thing with batteries for the SD etc.

Yeah, as Julie says, they will hold less charge over time......just like an atomiser will fade in performance.... and in both cases it's pretty much up to each user to decide when the drop is too much to put up with. For instance a 1000mah battery operating at 65% capacity, while not lasting anywhere near what a new battery will last, will be about the same as a 650mah battery.

About a year of heavy use it should be at about 65% capacity, moderate use 75% capacity and light use 85% capacity. High temperature als degrades the batteries faster than normal.

My 1000mAh pass is about a year old and i use it moderately. I'm now starting to notice it lasts not much so longer than my new 650mAh. Wink

Well what i'm really worried about is the amount of power i get out of it, will that drop as well? i don't really have to worry about how long it lasts since i always keep it plugged in

When you say power, I take it you mean voltage......which is regulated to 3.3V with Tornado batteries, but as we said, the ammount of charge the battery will hold will drop over time.

I have noticed this. My first pass died on me last month. It was over a year old and heavily abused. I'd guess it had about half of its capacity. Well then my guess would be 300mAh give or take and that's very bad. Considering the small capacity and large cell I noticed the vape was much weaker than my other batteries without a doubt. I believe that under load the cell couldn't provide enough power with capacity so low. So that's when I stopped using it.
