Odyssey US Batch 1 Serial# 0014

« on: April 27, 2012, 12:49:41 AM »

I am kind of pissed off about what happened on that day. I got the email from TW about the weekly YoYo discounts and one of them was the 5 pack for $12 according to YoYo. I clicked the link to purchase and chose my flavors but when I went to the checkout, the discount changed to $40+change. This happened twice and I emailed Daniel about it and he told me that it was a mistake and that NONE of the discounts for that day were being offered.
WELL, I posted about something else (maybe you saw it) and every one of the members who posted about that day said that their discounts were honored.
I went by the word of one of the employees of TW and I had no reason not to believe him. Well, he lied to me and if he had been honest, I could have gotten a pretty good deal. I still want the deal The same deal that was offered to me that day; $12 for a 5 pack of 20ml titan fluid. Seems pretty crappy that I missed out on this great buy because I was lied to but I still want the discount. $10 for a zippered case isn't a reason to get stressed but being lied to about a $40 discount is.

Just to clarify we honoured all of the YO YO errors UK and USA that were actually purchased and paid for. We believed it would be unethical not to do so and did not consider for one moment not shipping the goods was even an option. I appreciate all the kind comments on here... we have some really great customers!!!

Go find some butthurt meds.  Everyone is well aware of your plight.

I also got that deal, and TW did honor it, and I received my juice at 73% off.
What you're not taking into consideration is that everyone that did get the good deal,
actually checked out while it was on that. Yours changed as you got to checkout,
so you missed the deal.
I really dont see that there is anything for TW to answer to here.
Are you trying to say that after they had realized they'd made a mistake they should have left it like that?
Would you do that if it was your business? I think not!

Yep but it's a shame it had to come to this. He openly admitted in
his 'other' thread that the parcel came back marked 'return to sender'!  Roll Eyes

Just shows that Jason is loyal to his customers.
But we knew that anyway  Wink

Yeah agreed there ceekay

Although I think much like you kinda touched on was I think Jason misinterpreted where the situation was at when he posted.

I do however think it shows just where Jason want the companies values to focus and that is on customer satisfaction over everything else. Which is a good foundation for any company yet its so rare and lost with so many.

Anyway I hope kd0 got things sorted and all can be drawn a line under. Its been a fairly isolated issue where the return zip code was wrong on the case it was sent back to sender and then re sent to TW who will exchange it.

As for the yoyo thats a separate issue but im sure TW will now sort out something for kd0 now and all will be well.

The yoyo promo is still even now in its early days so yeah there are bits that could be polished up but on the whole and for most it works very well.

And to answer Ceekay27's question, if it was my company, I would honor the mistake. But you know, it's not worth the headache to even press the issue. Screw it.

But the mistake had been realised by the time you got to checkout.
What you have to think is, if they said "oh we made a mistake, let the mistake
run till the end of the yoyo", could you imagine how much money TW would
lose? That yoyo ran over Easter. It was only a few hours that the 80% ran for.

Some of us were lucky, it was nothing more than that.
I do feel for you, but look at my question again, would you have let the mistake run for
2 or 3 days?

OK thats it it now, I'm done on this subject. I feel sorry that you feel cheated,
but I have been shopping with TW for over a year now, and I dont think they
are out to rip anybody off.
