SPOILER ALERT!!!
This post contains heavy sarcasm.  If you don't know the definition of that word, please Google it.  If you still don't understand the definition after that, please don't read this post...... you won't like it.   Sensayuma required from this point on.  You have been warned!!!

I think Stevie really nailed it here (as always mate!).   Uh-oh... better not read the rest of this post Stevie.... I'm going to....  *gasp*.... agree with you! Shocked  (be afraid mate, be very afraid,  Huh lol. Roll Eyes).  An-ye-way.  You don't like the yo-yo, then don't bother with it.  Just jump in, throw what you want in the basket, checkout, and be done with it and be gone with your bad self.  And whatever and whenever you buy, you'll be saving money  (BOY!  Now that I think about it, that does suck doesn't it! Roll Eyes).  In past yo-yos I'll admit I lost a lot of time (hours... um, days maybe?) waiting for "just the right price" before I checked out (and having a spot of fun in the bargain).  With the new automated system, I got the major items I was looking to buy at 40-59% off, and a few bits and bobs that I threw in the cart at the last minute at 15-48% off.  And I didn't spend that much time doing it.  Yes, it's a bit buggy, and I hope they work on that before the next one.... but even with that, I had some fun and saved huge!  Sorry, but I think if you don't like the yo-yo, and you don't even want to just jump in and buy without paying any attention to the savings (and still bag some nice discounts) then I think you should plan ahead when you know one's comming... buy enough kit at full price to hold you over during the yo-yo, and when it's over you can restock at full price again..... and whatever you do, don't check face book or twitter for the daily discount codes there, because you'll hate that too (and this comment was NOT directed at anyone in particular.... but even so, I look forward to your nasty replies). Tongue

I've read posts where people said they would prefer a flat discount (and if you ordered in December, you received a card with discount code, and you now have all of January to use it to get a flat discount).  Not me, I'd never have bought half the stuff I did at 20% or 25%.... things like attys or nic base, or flavors that I didn't really need (and thus would not have bought at a lesser discount).  I've also read posts from people saying that Jason should just lower prices across the board (which he has done a bit of) instead of running the yo-yo sales.  Well, again, I'd not have bought as much, and not have saved as much.  I see the yo-yo sales as a means for Jason to get rid of some of the slower moving stock, or clear out and make room for new merchandise that he knows is on the way.... and a chance for us to save big and stock up on the items we know we're eventually going to need/use.... and maybe to save enough to entice us to try something we might not have otherwise done (that's how I got my Wicked Stick) or get some gifts at a tremendous discount for our loved ones during the Holidays.  Ok, I'm going to step down from this soap-box now and go stand if front of the wall.  I'll take a pass on that "last cigarette" thing, but I wouldn't mind a final vape (PR Rootbeer if you don't mind).  Now...... READY...... AIM........FI

Well put!!!

I liked the original YoYo better... was more exciting and better discounts if you hung on ..... this years YoYo just put me off. Every time I looked the discounts were only so so in comparison. The timer bit just agitated me..... Reminded me of the Asian market woman yelling in my ear... you buy!!!! you buy now!!!! Why you come here if you no buy?  Roll Eyes

Didn't see any percentages that made me want to hit the checkout button.

Waited for the flat 20% ... To me was a better deal then the YoYo without wasting all my time stalking the site.

Still haven't gotten my Clear"O"s yet ..... Hundreds in stock in the UK site .... still nothing at the US site.   Sad

There was a good one in November, I think it lasted about 3 days.

Then there was the 21 days of December (before Christmas).   The prices on the kits were not near as cheap as you could get them in the November yo-yo.    I've only been vapin since October, so that's all I know.

It's definitely different and interesting and I think it adds a new aspect to sales in general. It adds that fun and "risk-factor" into shopping for things that we are going to buy anyway and if I can save a couple bucks (or a nice chunk of change) I am fine with it. I actually placed an order for e liquid today that was down to $38 (regularly $58) which I would have bought anyway so the $20 bucks saved could be spent else where on the site to further more enhance the vaping experience! Also I think it will let people try things that they normally would not have being that the prices can drop so significantly. It would be cool though if they kept items up for only 3 or so days rather than a week, changing up the deals giving people more options is never a bad thing. Smiley

Keep up the innovation TW!

The "all out" yo-yo sales they have a few times a year are great.   All products are on the yo-yo sale.   During my first purchase, I thought I was going to have a stroke.   Once I found one thing that had a great discount and placed in my basket, I was frantic to try and get the best deal on a couple others before the 30 minutes timed out for me to check out (so as to just pay one shipping charge).   Needless to say, I think I placed 5 orders during the three-day sale!

And I love the people bashing it and expect them to "wait around" but where else has any weekly actually DAILY sales that can hit that low of discounts, and if you're sitting here posting on a forum, you more than likely have time to sit down and watch the yoyo at the same time. Ive seen plenty of deals drop down to 40% off twice within the hour, no need to be so negative about such a cool idea. IMHO.

I have mixed feelings about this Yo-Yo sale stuff.  Over the past few weeks I have spent a lot of $$$ and saved about as much as I spent on average.  I did have to devote most of my evenings and weekends waiting for the right promo to come up to get there so taking that into consideration I didn't save as much dough as it seems.   Cheesy

I decided to watch it again this evening and it was doing some of the same suspicious behavior  I had noticed over the last two weeks watching, only worse than before. I would see an item drop to say 40 or 50%, as soon as it turns I immediately click on it and the page loads but instead of being 40 or 50% it's 19% or something else considerably different.  Shocked    Angry Tonight I go so frustrated that I emptied my cart that had about $100 worth of items I already decided to buy plus whatever else I could find on sale during my 30 minutes, and I closed the website cussing it.  Angry That happened on 4 different items right in a row.  I was even refreshing my webpage every minute or so just to make sure my browser wasn't in some kind of timewarp or something.  Angry That type of activity reminds me of a rigged scammers bait and switch sales tactic scheme. Angry  I'm sure I'll get over it by the time the next shinny precious comes out. But if that had been my first experience with your company website, I would have blown TW off for good without a second thought and never looked back.

So I hope that isn't by design, if it is you might reconsider that if your going to show a discount you should atleast give a person 30 seconds to click on it and put it in their basket.   If it isn't supposed to do that then your system may have  a glitch in it that should be addressed.

Never happened to me but,i believe you have 20 minutes to pay for your yoyo items, from the second they go into your basket, there is even a timer that counts down how long you have left to pay for it.I have found yoyo very useful in making anything from 40-50% off and managed to pay for it before the timer counted down to zero.
Maybe you should talk to someone from tw?

It now gives you 30 minutes I believe but that's not the issue. It was impossible to get the item into my basket. As soon as I would click the item, immediately after it changed to the new lower discount rate, it had changed. If you look at the graph that shows the history of discount changes it used to look like a wave, now it looks like a saw tooth.

In this image the discount changes to 50% at 07:42:38

Then immediately at 07:42:38 it changed to 27%,

The customer from the Weekly YoYo Products page sees 50% display for an unknown period of time but atleast 10 seconds, click on the item. But oh wait it was impossible to have gotten that discount because it happened at the exact same second!!

I would call them but they were closed last night when seen this happening. And as I type this reply I'm trying not to be late for work and am hoping they pay attention to their forums. As I've seen they have in the past.

I finally got thru to them.  Made a video of what's going on and emailed it in.  It appears the UK site works like it should but the USA site is messed up, makes two changes at the exact same second.  Jason replied and said he wasn't aware of it and they will get it sorted out. I've always admired how he runs his business, this seemed so out of character.  Good to know it's just a glitch.   Smiley  Now if they can get this forum back up right, alot of people will be happy.  Including me. what dan said. I mean to me it's a great system. Like the yo-yo promo website says, you can move stock but still make a profit. Especially if it's stuff that you're going to buy in the future anyway, or just want to try out like e-liquids. I think it's fun. If I don't have time I just go for whatever discount it is in the moment, but usually I'm not doing much so I sit around and wait, checking on it every 20 mins or so and see. Personally, I don't feel ripped off because I'm getting a discount anyway. Of course if it goes 10% lower right after I checkout I'm like, "damn" and move on with my life. Honestly, after I check out I don't check on the yo-yos until the following week.

And of course the forum/facebook/twitter discounts. Stuff I needed this week (ok ok, not NEED...but you know...) wasn't on yo-yo, and since it was a few weeks ago it probably wouldn't again for some time (cartomizer category). But I still got a 14% discount with today's forum code. I didn't spend a lot of money (under $30) so my discount wasn't large, but it enabled me to basically get the cost of shipping for "free" all said and done. I'll take it! Those few dollars can go towards more fancy boxes  Wink

they really need a "like" or thumbs-up button on here~ LOL I see some posts that I really get a kick out of, and some that are super informative and helpful, and some that irk me a little, but i'm not going to bother people with messages just to tell them I think they are witty or how they made my day and made me Laugh and smile, or that , thanks to them, I am a little smarter than I was yesterday. I'm really loving my new TW family! =D

I detest the yo-yo ..
I forever do it wrong and the string gets tangled up.
Me, I hover around the discount codes for items I really want.
The yo-yo is good for the odd thing you may not normally purchase.
So both forms of discount are appealing in their different way Smiley

I have bought a couple of things all at diff discount on the yoyo i view it as you win some you lose some is it worth waiting for an extra ?% on something if you lose the same amount or more by two lots of shipping costs. meh if you are happy with your purchase who gives...having said that i do try and avoid looking to see if anyone else is getting a better deal Roll Eyes

I don't think that much about it. If I can grab something that I want at near 30% off,GREAT, but if not, the daily discount code makes up for it by taking some-teen percent off everything I didn't get a yoyo discount on.
