And I still could be wrong can't stand to see you suffer any longer. The second shot IS a Slow Motion view of the first. this allows you to see the liftoff and cloud from the motor as it builds.

(April 9th at 12:00 noon) anyone wishing to attend the launch is welcome. This one is in Orangeburg SC. I will be flying the Tornado and introducing the Titan 510. I am looking for a Blue Flame motor for the 510. There will be pictures and video of the launch but I cannot promise quality of video. The BIG SHOW with the TW Tornado will be June 18 in Tampa FL. And to think, I get PAID to play in Traffic...

To run from a Rocket is more Dangerous than standing still. So I HIDE behind the nearest BIG person. Rockets chase people so you are better off cowering under a truck. But at least I will not be Green.

We have a set of decisions to make now. I have 2 more rockets that have yet to be dressed. I am making one as close to the Screwdriver as I can and still have aerodynamics that will fly. I have an idea for the graphics on this one. the other is set to be either the Titan 510 or a MINI. maybe a Titan with MINI graphics on it? I have to get this done by Wednesday night in order to have everything ready for transport to the launch. To clear Sky and Calm Winds.

The Titan and Mini almost look alike so my vote would be for a Titan with Mini graphics

I am standing here looking at the launch site. (5000acres of grass field) After a quick meal I will be preparing the Totally Wicked Tornado Rocket for tomorrows Launch. T minus 16 hours and MR Wicket will go Screaming into the sky over South carolina on the Level 3 license flight. Looks like it will be a good day to send up the Titan or Screwdriver also. I will have some video to post and a LOT of pictures to look at.

Even if only vicariously. Give her the spurs Michael! High Flight Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth Of sun-split clouds, — and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of — wheeled and soared and swung High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there, I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung My eager craft through footless halls of air. . . . Up, up the long, delirious burning blue I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace Where never lark, or ever eagle flew — And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod The high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand, and touched the face of God. — John Gillespie Magee, Jr

I am sitting here with others looking at our rocket. The motor had a catistrophic failure and exploded at about 3 feet in liftoff. this was a defect in the motor and I am now working out all details as we watch the video of launch and video from onboard camera. To all ofTW I offer my deepest apologies, but I am working forward in this and the launch in Tampa WILL go as planned. I have already made the arrangements for the materials needed to rebiuld our Tornado and this will start as soon and the manufacture of the motor and I confer about the problems. I WILL be using a different motor setup for the Florida flights from a source that I know to be most reliable. I found out AFTER the incident that this supplier has had troubles identical to mine in the last 6 months. two of which completely destroyed the rockets and motor units.
The Totally Wicked Tornado Rocket will fly in Tampa in June as scheduled. The Thrill of Victory and the Heartbreak of Defeat is real. I will not let this stop us. Michael

DLTBGYD... the supplier was more angry than I. we got together talking to the manufacturer and that was a very one sided conversation. $800.00 damages not counting what happened to the rocket.. as I said, I have already gotten the parts ordered for needed repairs and will be rebuilding the lower unit soon. if nothing else blows up I will start reconstruction next weekend. I am a survivor and the TW Rocket is also. We will make this right and she will fly in Tampa.
