Hi All, I'll be interviewing Michael Gunter again shortly after the Christmas Break. As I'm sure most of you are aware, Michael is building a rocket as a tribute to Totally Wicked - thank you Michael!

Our next interview will be a "Guide to Building A Rocket". So, I am opening the floor up - any questions?

Feel free to PM me and I'll put your questions to the man himself.

Many Thanks

Joanne

I'm curious... which Flavors will be Carried on board... "Patriot" I hope Wink
Seriously, interested in what real fuel Gunter will be using.. as well as his opinion on how far - how high.. he expects this Rocket to go... And does it require Permits ?

Thanks,

Mike D.

Whatever it runs on, I doubt you'd want to vape it Wink

Could be rubber - maybe we should start recycling the pipette bulbs from our juice bottles? Smiley

Questions: (I know he has already answered some of these but include them here for an interview)
In no particular order:
1). What type of recovery system will be used and how does it work?
2). What is the expected flight time?
3). How many people, are required for a launch and what are their responsibilities?
4). What sorts of safety precautions are required?
5). Are there any atmospheric restrictions on when one can launch and if so, what are they?
6). (an obvious one), Who is sponsoring the construction and launch?
7). What is used to ignite the propellent?
Cool. How many pounds of thrust will the engine generate at peak output?
9). What will be the maximum speed it will reach?
10). What will be the maximum G-force on the airframe?
11). What altitude is it expected to reach?
12). What will be done with the rocket after its maiden voyage?

Bring on the questions and we will do our best to address all of them in the interview.
I do need a good picture of Joanne and Alex so that they can take the 375 MPH trip.

Hi gang,
I have been looking at the questions here and I see people are showing a REAL interest in what we are doing.
As long as the questions are real I will answer all of them either in a message here or in my next talk with Joanne.
I am begining to become a bit anxious waiting to see the Graphic design TW is coming up with.
I have some ideas for this but I gave TW total control over every inch of her but the fins. This should prove to be something WILD.
More pictures will be sent to the shop this evening after the glues have time to set.

I don't know about others but the questions I posted are specifically for the interview, i.e. no need to post their answers here.

I'll be interested to see if TW comes up with graphics that adapts the current TW logo with rocketry and space or what.

Guaranteed to be cool no matter what though!

Hi Michael, That would be lovely but I'm afraid I won't be able to make it this time. Although, I will be following it very closely.

Hi All,  I just got through having a chat with Joanne. I am now wondering if it is possible to fall in love with someone just on the sound of her voice.  Joanne and I talked about building the Tornado Rocket and many aspects of what is involved before you can push the GO button. I love talking about the rockets and Joanne had many very good question. When the interview is posted, if you have more questions please forward them to Joanne and we will get those covered during the next interview. We may have to start taking up a collection so we can get her to the US for the launch.

Here is to Clear Skys and Calm Winds. Wink

We have a set of decisions to make now.
I have 2 more rockets that have yet to be dressed.  I am making one as close to the Screwdriver as I can and still have aerodynamics that will fly. I have an idea for the graphics on this one.
the other is set to be either the Titan 510 or a MINI. maybe a Titan with MINI graphics on it?

I have to get this done by Wednesday night in order to have everything ready for transport to the launch.
