Vape in public with Pride

« on: November 08, 2011, 08:28:46 AM »

Any Plans for new stores?

I live in Derbyshire and would love the chance to have a Local (ish) Store to visit (unless you want to offer me a job  Wink ) I hear the currant stores are very good so i tip my hat for making TW items accessible to the public without having to online order love to see more of it tho Smiley

I'll second that,  it'd be great to see a TW shop in the Midlands, currently i'd have to make a 3-4 hour round trip to get to one.

Been to the Midlands.....can't say I found anything natural about it...... Tongue

On a more serious note...yep...would be nice to start seeing shops open....this Vaping is becoming more popular....since I bought my Tornado 3 people I know have bought them and I have given the site details to about 10 other people now...

Just had a thought, maybe TW should introduce some sort of reward to introducing new customers.... Hmmmmmm....

The nearest thing I saw to a vape shop in Essex was a stand in a local shopping centre...that was years ago and where I bought my first e-cig....which was Rubbish....but was a long time ago...

Did see a very brightly marked JEEP at a service station on the M25 in Kent last week promoting another brand of E-Cig with all the kit for sale in one of the shops.....did think at the time it would have been great of it had been  TW .....

Thanks Ean.....very nice of you to say (sorry, your still not getting your lips on my C)

Yep....am very interested....I run a company with a couple of good friends and we are all passionate about what we do...no half measures....all or nothing..

It's a real strange set up as we do anything and everything....though are main focus is builidng maintenance...yes, I get my hands dirty most days.....we all come from different background....one from business / accountancy / electrical (that's me), one was an international show jumper and the other is 73 and been in the construction industry since he was 8.... (think he was involved with the orginal Hadrians wall, well, thats what I pull his leg about)......
business is all about showing a profit and if it can make money I have never seen a reason not to try....the best thing is to do this and enjoy it and have a passion about what you are doing..

We are also very ethical....I don't mean that everything we do is green etc...but ethical in the way that I would rather earn £1 honestly giving a good service than £1000 ripping someone off....and believe me I see a lot of .... we don't earn fortunes but enjoy what we do....and most importantly I sleep well...I do know a couple of so called business men that have to sleep with one eye open....have never understood the need to con people

Anyway, going on a bit here..... basically I have run through the details with the people I work with and they seem keen...just need to get my head around a marketing strategy....

Ops...it's now past 12...on my first real day off for the Christmas holidays...so its "open a bottle" time :-)

i know what you mean i was the national manager of a cleaning company and our moto was just what you described
i took that into my business and offer an honest job for a fair price
i clean carpets and offer an equal service to the big franchises but at 1/3 of their price
i would love to set up a vaping paradise but im tied up with what i do already, that said never say never Wink

Ean...

My biggest problem will be finding the time..... but saying that when other good ideas have come along I have managed to sort something out....

Speaking of time saving....Vaping has done this.....I used to pop out of the office time and time again with my old habit....and when on the tools I would set myself up....pop out....start the job.....pop out......a real nightmare..

When driving other people I would stop....or make sure I had a couple before starting a trip....even drove past my usual BP station several times recently that I have a coffee in..... most of the time I probably didnt want a coffee...just an excuse to stop for the old habit.....so even saving money there :-)

Last week I was working all day in a loft...was mission impossible to get in and in a position to work....with Vaping I was able to get everything done quite quick...I know that had it been several months ago I would have been up and down that ladder several times.....

I am finding more and more benefits with the Vaping :-)

i know the feeling years ago i used to run a few taxi firms (i would trouble shoot 6 months here 12 months there) i used to drive myself when i first got to grips with a place
i would always have a fag before i picked the customer up and even parked round a corner to finish a quick cig before pulling up complaining about traffic as a reason for being late
now im my business i dont have fags breaks and im more efficient than ever, the old habit dictated my life where now im free

Hi ean...

What I have noticed now is that because I can vape anywhere... I do..... my C is seldom out of reach..... have just been watching a movie and I went to pick it up.... could not find it and started to panic ! It was no-where to be found.... so reached for my trusty old T with its Megga......

But, could not relax... searched the kitchen and even upstairs (though I was certain I had been there since I last saw it)...... yep... it had rolled under the sofa.......

I have tried to put it away and make an effort to have a nice vape now and again.... not working....

Have now decided that I love it.... so why torture myself :-)

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh...............where..................  phewwwwwww........ found it !!!

Theres a really passionate reseller in york, mate of mine works there. the reseller is what drew me to TW rather than another company, a physical storefront that ould advise me and I could handle the kits etc. I do think having a reseller helps normalise the things and get people used to the use in public. loads of the pubs in york hve heard of them as people use the tobbaconist's and so not many ban ecig use inside.

I've been a reseller for TW for the last couple of months. Currently Mansfield market on Saturdays but with plans for a full time shop/vaping lounge/cafe. Just gotta spread the word and build the business to fund it lol.
