« on: January 26, 2011, 02:22:32 AM »

If you haven't yet visited the UK lounge and shop of Totally Wicked UK, then I would highly recommend that you do! Smiley

Today was my first visit to the rather large TW site in Darwin, and I have to say that the whole experience was worth the 140 mile round trip. I was also fortunate enough to succeed in the arranged meet with Astrecks Jeff at the same time, and he is very much the same true gentleman in person as he is on our forum Smiley

To be greeted by the extremely lovely smiling face of Rachel is preparing you immediately for the level of attention that you will receive throughout your stay. There is no faffing about with all the phoney jargon and fixed grins that you have to endure in a lot of sales environments these days, and you will feel totally relaxed and at ease with her. Rachel is also a wizard with the freshly ground coffee too (a point well worthy of a mention Grin), and her knowledge executed in setting p  the uninitiated newcomers to our world was bar none!

In the two to three hours  (felt like only minutes) that Jeff and I spent relaxing in the totally wicked red leather sofas, surrounded by display cabinets full of wicked temptations, we  witnessed a nice steady stream of customers coming through the doors. This was fascinating to see as a customer who has only ever bought from the online shop up until now. We don't give a thought to that side of the business, and it is a pleasant reality check to make you realise how busy the staff are each day!

We also had the pleasure of meeting Alex, who I managed to do a swap with on some kit  Cheesy, Louise, who we all know from the forum and Bob and the team from the very active warehouse. There seems to be a common denominator in all of the TW personnel in that they all have great personalities and pleasant dispositions Cool I can imguess that this is all helped along nicely with the antics of a certain Mr Wicked during the day too?

Can you imagine placing an order for some Tank Atomizers, some juice and bits and bobs then minutes later watching them appearing through a door and ending up in front of you – no postie to wait for, or days to count down to delivery, FAN – TAS – TIC!!  Grin

The new vaping lounge is going to be a place to behold, and I can visualise it being a hub of activity when it opens (hopefully by the summer). There is a real buzz in the air about Jason’s latest venture, and you can be certain that it will be full of surprises too!

That brings me to the only disappointment of the day, not getting to meet Jason, but I am sure that will happen in the near future when I pay another visit! However, there was a great compensation in meeting Debs, who is the lady responsible for the gleaming upkeep of Mr Wickeds humanoid headquarters – a lovely character of great humour!

So, as you will have already deducted (if you have read this far), I would seriously recommend a visit to TW in Darwin and I can’t speak highly enough of the friendly and interactive team!

Jeff and myself left the premises with smiles bigger than when we arrived, which is good going because easily pleased isn’t in my humble vocabulary!
We would both like to look into organizing a regular meeting with fellow UK vapers, maybe once every quarter, so some feedback would be very welcome on that.

Once again – Thank you TW Darwin – Keep up the brilliant work!   Cool Cool Cool

It was a great afternoon, Rachel even recognised me from my prevoius visit a couple of months earlier despite me having shaved my beard off..... it never did hide me ugliness... Huh

As Tony say's all the TW staff are very friendly and knowledgeble with the products and we saw quite a few new vapers leave the shop happy and excited. I was lucky enough to catch a word or two with Jason before he had to dash off for a meeting and after spotting my "mixiing case" prompted him to mention the mixing case that inspired him to have one manufactured, he hopes to bring us news of that soon.

It was fantastic meeting the internationally famous TonyF ! a truly warm character with that cheeky Liverpudlian wit and gift for the gab and a genuinely good person to know and I really look forward to meeting again Grin

Tony brought his "day kit"... I can see that he'll be hauling a trailer soon  Undecided... lol.. he has a fantastic collection of bits and pieces and apparently this is just part of his kit!

Meeting Alex was real fun, she has a lovely bubbly northern nature and we chatted about the progress and hopes for the new UK vapers lounge Grin and Louise pop by to say hello to us

The afternoon passed really quickly and the shop was about to close.. but wait!  Shocked Tony and I had not made the purchases we gone there for!!  We rushed our orders through, neither of us having had a list of items to buy and consequently forgetting things we'd planned on buying.. but then the visit was about meeting the staff and seeing how it's all done.

If you ever want to experience northern friendliness you could do no better than vist the staff at Totally Wicked.

A truly great afternoon Grin Grin

My Tankys only touch a nado when I'm in the car using my passthrough otherwise they are on my SD occasionally I will get the lightsaber out but only when I've been stupid and not charged my 2 batts.

I will have to get a gold-plating kit to plate my Tankys now though lol I could of done that with the SD but realy wanted a TW original.

Oops!

Well actually, by the time my sat nav figured out how to get me out of Darwen, and took me through the centre of Bolton after passing over the moors near Egerton (strangely the surname of relatives I was on the way to visit),  I felt like I had actually reached Darwin!

My miss spelling of Darwen (to Darwin), may probably be due to the amount of times I screamed "I wondarwen I will get out of here! Shocked", after seeing nearly all of the back streets that the town had to offer  Huh

Will definitely be giving the shout out next time blue, and hopefully we can arrange a proper meet at the new premises?

They are in Blackburn If memory serves me correctly, and maybe within 2 miles of the current address. Mr Wicked did Tweet a link to the online brochure for the premises on two occasions, and the second time was when he went to put in his successful offer.

It is going to be a large site that has previously been used as a purpose built main dealership car showroom! I can only visualise how good the front of house is going to look once Jason gets his creative juices flowing on design and layout etc? I did suggest that he encompasses a motel into the plans, but somehow, I think I may have been pushing the boat just that little too far lol  Roll Eyes If it maintains the same warm and  welcoming atmosphere, it cannot fail.

If I can find the link, I will post it back here.

That's great news Louise!

Although, I think that you will need more than one Rachel behind the counter to cope with the demand that I foresee!

Rachel, have you got your Vallium on order?   Huh
